Snap-in connectors have traditionally had a negative reputation—some installers have viewed them as cheap or ineffectual. But at Bridgeport, we build every fitting to exceed expectations. That’s why we designed our snap-in connectors, E-Z Lock®, to be better.
For running cable to a knockout, the locknut connector has traditionally been king—and Bridgeport has traditionally been the king of locknut connectors. This classic, time-tested design makes a secure connection with the electrical box by using a screw-on locknut.
Locknut connectors excel in some installations, but they are not without downsides. They take time to install, since each locknut has to be hand-wound down to form a good connection, and if installed improperly they don’t actually meet code. In applications where speed and ease-of-installation are more important, snap-in connectors can be a better choice.
In many of the applications that locknut connectors have traditionally ruled, a snap-in connector like E-Z Lock can often get the same job done faster. The high-performance Bridgeport design snaps into place and removes easily.
E-Z Lock forms an outstanding system bond in the knockout. Even less-experienced installers can complete large projects quickly due to the simple snap-in mechanism, plus these connectors accept a wide range of cable types and sizes.
Bridgeport E-Z Lock Connectors covers these conduit and cable types:
We’re expanding E-Z Lock with duplex connectors for MC-PCS Cable, joining existing options for single, 90-degree, combination snap-in/duplex installations and more. For running .38 to .85 cables into ½” or ¾” knockouts, E-Z Lock has connectors for most applications.
At Bridgeport, we have 95 years of experience innovating. We’ve earned our reputation for reliable quality with industry-leading products, including E-Z Lock Snap-In Connectors. They’re a great choice for many applications. E-Z Lock Connectors are easy and fast to install or remove, bond tight in the knockout and fit a broad range of cable sizes and types.
